TpT Sale of my Mega Math Packets!

My Math Mega Packs are on sale for 20% off this weekend!

Check out my Going Buggy with Operations and Algebraic Thinking Common Core Mega Pack.  It has 77 reproducibles for teaching all eight first grade Common Core Operations and Algebraic Thinking standards, plus posters for your focus wall.
Also, take a look at my latest product, Diving into Number and Operations in Base Ten Common Core Mega Pack.  It includes 90 reproducibles for teaching all of the first grade Number and Operations in Base Ten standards, plus posters for your focus wall.

What is your preference when purchasing items from TpT?  Do you like having items available in smaller units with a less expensive price or do you like getting bigger packets for a higher (but better value) price?  I've been trying to decide if I should make my Mega Math Packets available in smaller packets that just cover one or two of the Common Core State Standards.  I'd love your feedback!

Thank you for following my blog!  Be sure to visit my TpT store, Corinna Woita: Teaching Fabulous Firsties, for more ideas and freebies.

Happy Teaching!

Happy Spring!

To celebrate the first day of my spring break, I'm hooking up with Teaching Blog Addict for Freebie Friday!  Here is a quick and easy way for your beginning writers to plan out a basic paragraph using a 4-Square Writing Organizer.  The topic sentence is provided on one version and and a blank 4-square with a writing prompt is on the other version.  Your students just have to write three things that they love about springtime and a concluding sentence.  Four choices of handwriting-lined papers are included for the final copy.

I LOVE using 4-Square writing organizers with my Firsties!  My reluctant writers really get into doing this because of the extra support the organizer provides.  On the first day, the kids fill out the 4-Square.  The next day, I have my students check each sentence for capitals and punctuation.  They trace over the first letter of the sentence with a green colored pencil and trace the ending punctuation with a red colored pencil.  They love this part!  Later, we use "spell checkers" (high-frequency word lists) to fix basic spelling errors.   The kids work with a buddy to reread the writing for any revisions before writing the paragraph on the handwriting paper.  Ta-da!

You can grab yourself a copy of the project at my Teachers Pay Teachers store.  If you like it, I'd sure appreciate it if you'd considering following my store and letting me know what you think.  Thanks for your support!

I love spring weather (sunny, but cool) and beautiful daffodils (OK, so it snowed a bit this morning, but that was very strange for mid-March in Oregon)!  What is your favorite thing about springtime?

Have a happy weekend!

Giveaways Galore!

Hi Friends!  It is report card and parent conference time, so I have to be brief!  Of course, I spent my "report card" day cleaning and organizing my classroom.  I had a pile on my desk that just never got organized because there were millions of other things that were more important!  I'll post some before and after pictures once I get my report cards done...
Here's a peek at my latest TpT item:
I am forcing myself not to post it until I've finished my report cards.

Lots of Bloggy Buddies are having fun giveaways with lots of great prizes!  Angela at Hippo Hooray for Second Grade is celebrating her 200th follower! Forty bloggers (including myself) donated products!  Head over before Sunday to enter to win!

Also, Cynthia at All Things Teachery is celebrating her 200th follower!  She has a ton of different bloggers' products (including mine) available to win!

Have a wonderful day, Everybody!  Is anyone else working on report cards and/or preparing for parent conferences?
