Operations & Algebraic Thinking Math!

I'm finally done with my latest math packet!  As I've mentioned before, our math "program" at school leaves a lot to be desired.  So, our first grade team is always supplementing to fill in the gaps.  We're currently focusing on Operations and Algebraic Thinking for our data teams.  We're also being asked to post our daily Common Core State Standards in the room.  To do so, I created my latest product, "Going Buggy for Operations & Algebraic Thinking Math Mega Pack."
It includes 77 Common Core State Standard aligned reproducibles for teaching Operations and Algebraic Thinking.  There are five practice pages for every skill for a full week’s worth of learning.  I also made ten Focus Wall CCSS anchor charts in student friendly “I Can” language.  These activities are not “seasonal” so they can be used any time during the year.  My kids have been having fun with them this week.  Check them out at my TpT store.

I'm hooking up with Teaching Blog Addict for Freebie Friday!  I made a 4 Square Writing Organizer for dental health month.  It includes a writing organizer and three different choices of paper for final copies of the paragraphs.  I hope you can use it!  Blogger is not being nice to me when I try to upload pictures of the freebie, so go to TpT (click HERE) to see it up close.  UPDATE!  Blogger decided to let me post the pictures!  Here they are!  Click on the cover to download for free from TpT!

Happy Weekend!

*T.G.I.F.F!

Woo! What a week! I was sooooooooo glad to walk in my front door this evening. Home sweet home! My weekend was slow to start, as I worked late (big surprise) getting things ready for Monday. Then, as I finally decide to head home--I can't find my car keys! This NEVER happens to me. I'm forgetful, but I don't lose my keys. Until today...When I want to go home...And I'm hungry. So, after searching everywhere and going through my teacher bag and purse about five times, I head to the office to try to see if anyone found keys. Nope.  No keys.  Luckily, my awesome principal was still there volunteered to take me home. She took me home, I grabbed spare keys, and she dropped me off back at school. Thank goodness I live about 5 minutes away! I could have walked home, but by this time it was getting very dark and creepy and I'm a scaredy cat to be out by myself due to watching too many true crime shows and I also hadn't had a good chat with my principal lately, as she was at a technology workshop all week.  So, after being dropped off, I searched around my room, hallways, office--I even checked the fridge and freezer just in case I had really lost my mind! No keys. So, I gave up and went home. I ate Girl Scout Samoas some dinner and relaxed a bit. Then, I decided to search my purse and bags again. Guess what! My keys had fallen into an outer pocket of my teacher bag that I didn't even know existed! I had searched the other outer pockets, but somehow missed this one.  What a twit!  So, now I feel silly, but relieved that I don’t have to worry that someone found my keys and knows where I live and will do something to me and I end up a story on the true crime shows get new keys made.
So, TGIFF!  *Thank Goodness it’s Freebie Friday!  There's nothing like a little blog hopping to get over feeling like a goose for losing your keys and your mind   get your weekend started!  I love using 4-Square Writing Organizers with my kids.  Since we're all thinking about love and Valentine's Day, I put together an "I Love" 4-Square for my kids to organize their ideas into a paragraph.  I also made some writing paper to go along with it.  I hope you find it useful for your beginning writers!  Click HERE to get your freebie!

Have a lovely weekend!

Super Sunday Sale! What's in Your Cart?

Hello, Teacher Friends!

I will be taking part in Teachers Pay Teachers' Super Sunday Sale!  All items in my store will be 28% off on Sunday.  In case you can’t get all of your shopping done on Sunday, I’ve extended my 20% sale through Monday!  So, enjoy browsing and shopping for items on your wish list!  I've got quite a few items in my cart already.  What is on your must-buy list?
Be sure to check out my Winter Math & Literacy Activities: Quick and Easy Reproducibles & Centers which has 168 pages of resources for Your Common Core Classroom!  These can be used as seatwork and/or centers.  These are adorable in color or in grayscale.  The centers have just enough color to be cute and not deplete your colored ink supply!
Also, I have recently added an Associative Property of Addition Pack with reproducibles for practicing CCSS 1.OA.3 (Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract).
Thanks for following my store and my blog!
Happy Teaching!

Freebies, TpT's 28% Off Sale, & Super Bowl Flashbacks! Woo-hoo!

Today was a "Staff Development Day" without students, which is great news because I still have enough energy to devote all of my attention to my Teachers Pay Teachers wish list and shopping cart!
I don't know about you, but I am thrilled that the big 28% off sale is happening again!  Yay!  Ashley Hughes designed the super cute button below.  Be sure to check out her TpT store for fun graphics.

I hear there is something else going on this Sunday, but I can't quite remember what it was... (hahaha!)  I'm not into football.  The only time I enjoyed myself was when I played in the marching band in high school and college.  I played the drums and it was fun to play music when our team did well.  But, my favorite part of my college marching band was a nice boy who played the trombone.  He also delivered pizza to help pay for college.  On Super Bowl Sunday in 1989 (you know, the one with the 1/2 time show requiring the red and blue 3-D glasses from TV Guide?!?), he delivered me a pizza--that I didn't even order--and he asked me out.  I decided that maybe Super Bowl Sunday wasn't such a bad idea after all.  I also decided he was a keeper!   We've been married 20 years and this will be our 24th Super Bowl Sunday Anniversary (and I still have those 3-D glasses!).

I'm linking up with TBA's Freebie Friday!  Here is a cute and easy way for your kids to do their Word Work with a little Valentine's flair.  I hope you enjoy it!  Click on the picture below to get your freebie!

I hope your weekend will be super!  Thanks for reading my blog.  I truly appreciate you!
