Freebie Friday!

How did we get to the last Friday of July already?!?  Well, the good thing is that it is time for Freebie Friday again!  Here is a Word Work activity where students will use letter tiles to create their spelling words or spelling pattern words then use them in sentences.  My followers can download the activity for FREE.  Teachers Pay Teachers has been having technical issues, but the time you visit, check out my year's worth of Themed Spelling Test papers that I recently downloaded.

New Blogger Blog Hop!

1.  I am in Oregon.
2.  I am going to be switching from 2nd grade to 1st grade...It has been a long time since I've taught   first grade.  My mind is spinning with ideas for teaching these kids!

It is Freebie Friday, Again!

I love the Teaching Blog Addict's Freebie Friday!  I have downloaded so many great ideas and activities that I'm going to need a few new ink cartridges for my printer!

I just started my Teacher's Pay Teacher's store and I added a 13 page Monthly Math Journal freebie!  If you haven't picked it up yet, click HERE.  If you like my freebie, it would be great if you could give feedback &/or follow me on Teachers Pay Teachers.  Thanks!

Also, here is another freebie I made for word families called, "Chunk Hunters."  I made a quick stop lengthy trip through Dollar Tree and found all sorts of things that I needed wanted for my classroom.  One of the goodies I found were some foam alphabet tiles (capital and lowercase) that would be great to use for a quiet center.  Students will write the word family/chunk that we're practicing on the sheet.  Then, they will go through the letter tiles, placing them in front of the chunk, to see which words they can make.  Kids will record the new words on the Chunk Hunters sheet.  Click on the picture below for your free copy.

My Very First Blog Awards!

International Blog Hopping Day Freebies!

Who doesn't love Freebies?!?  Here is a freebie for you to use during Daily 5 Word Work or as a literacy station.  Use the onsets and rimes/word families your kids are practicing by writing them on tiles.  Kids get to match the onsets and rimes to make either "People Words" or "Monster Words."  I'd love to have you comment on my blog and/or follow me if you found the freebie useful!  Thanks!

I'm a few weeks behind, but I'll catch up soon.  For now, I'll share my Daily 5 Schedule Strips that I made.  I use them so that one D5 activity doesn't get too full of students.  I learned the need for this very quickly last year when a  hoard of eager students descended on the magnet letters for Word Work!  Oops!  LOL!
